Dr. Rayfield brings extensive chiropractic expertise along with experience as a competitive athlete and coach to your treatment team. He is dedicated to providing the same expert treatment that elite athletes receive to people of any age, any activity level and any injury or condition. Movement and activity are the key to health and recovery from injury. Dr. Rayfield enjoys treating a variety of different injuries and conditions from repetitive strain injuries and postural corrections to low back pain and headaches. He uses soft tissue therapy (ART®), spinal manipulation and exercise to accomplish these goals. His experience as a former varsity track and Field athlete led Dr. Rayfield to work closely with both elite athletes and track and field clubs. For over a decade, he has coached sprinters and hurdlers at the local club level. He also travels across the country to coach and provide chiropractic and soft tissue services at numerous athletic events.

Born and raised in Orillia, Dr. Mike Duffy has extensive ties in the community throughout his years of athletics including hockey, soccer, baseball and track-and-field. He attended The University of Western Ontario before graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, with clinical honours. While studying at CMCC, he attended McMaster University, obtaining his certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. During his internship, Dr. Duffy completed an extensive clinical placement at Sunnybrook St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Allison McFarlane comes to Back to Function with a strong background in exercise and nutrition. She draws from a variety of techniques, including Active Release Technique, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and functional assessment systems, which allows her to individualize treatment plans to every patient’s needs. Allison believes that patient education, personalized treatment, and exercise interventions form the foundation of patient care, allowing patients to understand their underlying conditions and prevent future issues from developing. Dr. McFarlane is committed to helping every patient meet their optimal health potential.

Dr. Nader Abdelkader obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Manitoba while concurrently competing at the national fencing circuit. During his athletic career, his appreciation for sports medicine sparked interest, having sustained several sports injuries himself. Combining his passion for health sciences and sports, he further pursued his academics at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He is currently completing his post graduate fellowship from the Royal College of Chiropractors of Sports Sciences.

Dr. Tara Brown’s philosophy of healthy living has been instilled since a very young age, which lead her to pursue a career in health and wellness. When a ski injury hampered her performance at 14 years of age, Dr. Brown turned to a chiropractor to help her recover. This gave her the passion and drive to become a chiropractor herself, as she wanted to provide the same quality of care to others.

Dr. McMordie is a medical doctor specializing in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Before moving her practice to Back to Function, she was practicing Primary Care Sport Medicine at several clinics in the Hamilton/Burlington area, including McMaster University and Mohawk College.
Her clinical expertise includes sport injuries, concussion, joint pain, non-operative osteoarthritis management, and platelet-rich plasma, cortisone, trigger point, and viscosupplementation injections.

Carley’s expertise is focused on helping patients with chronic conditions, acute injuries, motor vehicle accident and workplace injuries, and athletes of all ages and ability levels. Due to her particular interest in functional movement restoration she has completed a number of certifications and courses and has special expertise in lower back rehabilitation and strengthening for high-level performance. Carley has experience training and working with amateur, professional and Olympic athletes and enjoys providing sports specific training programs to sports teams and individuals.
Jasmine graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2008. She specializes in Swedish/Relaxation massage and incorporates techniques such as Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Active Release Techniques into her treatments.
Jasmine recently relocated to the Orillia Area from Maple, Ontario where she worked as a massage therapist for the past 12 years.
Jacqueline graduated from the three year massage therapy program at Georgian College in 2012. She believes in providing treatments with a balance of relaxation and focused deep tissue massage in order to achieve maximal results and improve client’s overall wellness. She provides clients with a personalized treatment, tailored to each individuals needs.
